"Mutualism” is a biological interaction between individuals of different species in which both help each other to grow better. This cooperation is established by the miscelium, the set of small roots that make up the body structure of fungi and plants. The miscelium, the largest living thing on earth, is being studied in many fields and industries, from aerospace to textiles.
Although its growth is complex, its properties are infinite, and among all the species that nature has created, the miscelium has always stood out for its wisdom.
The aim of this research was to see if it would be possible to inoculate and grow different species of fungi on fabrics to create beautiful garments with some of the most exotic species.
